Bayerischer Volksfest Verein - Philadelphia
“Gemütlichkeit” is something for which the Bavarian Club has always been known. In English, it means a comfortable, welcoming, good-natured, home-like feeling. This is the atmosphere we strive to create. Our club is a place where our members and friends can come to socialize with old friends and meet new ones. It is a place where the German language and traditional customs are alive and well.
For many years the home of the Bayern Club was our clubhouse on Haldeman Avenue in Northeast Philadelphia. This structure no longer exists and we are now holding our monthly dances and annual meeting at the Vereinigung Erzgebirge in Warminster. Our friends at the VE Club have warmly welcomed us and made us feel at home. We hope you will explore this website to learn about our club. We welcome you in the spirit of “Gemütlichkeit” to attend our activities and those of our sister club, VE. We know you will thoroughly enjoy yourself.
